Sifnos was the first island in Greece to hook up their plumbing to a purification and waste treatment plant
which makes Plati Gialos one of the cleanest beaches in Greece.
LOCATION
Plati Gialos beach annually receives the European Union’s “Blue Flag” award given to
the cleanest and safest coastal areas that protect the environment.
Situated on the south side of the island, the surrounding hills of Plati Gialos break the prevailing northern summer winds, making it a sanctuary with calm waters on windy days.
“Plati Gialos” means “wide seashore” in Greek and is considered one of the longer beaches of the Cycladic islands. It is one of the finest and sought after locations in Sifnos.
The beach is your backyard and you will find anything you may need.
A wide array of quiet traditional and contemporary restaurants, coffee shops, seafood bars,
mini food market, traditional bakery, little shops for your beach or fashion needs, pottery shops,
beach chairs and umbrellas, water sport rentals and sailing boat rentals
and all this is just a short barefoot walk from the house.
There are many hiking trails starting at Plati Gialos,
providing ancient footpath access to the rest of the island: the best way to see the island.
White-washed houses with traditional ceramic chimneys and small churches with blue domes, built on hills that lead to sandy beaches, this is Sifnos, the jewel of the Cyclades.
Accommodations
With ocean views, this tranquil 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom beach house
is new, simple with all the comforts you may need, and only 50 steps from the magnificent beach of Plati Gialos.
Two Queen bedrooms on the ground level share a long terrace and bathroom,
while the two bedrooms on the lower level share a bathroom.
The top level has the kitchen, dining area, living room, and a bathroom,
with a veranda overlooking the Aegean Sea on one side
and olive groves and terraced hills on the other.
Air conditioning/heating units are in each bedroom
and fans on the ground level rooms and living room.
There are – 4 Queen beds.
The interior space of the house 1150 square feet.
Cleaning service is provided daily.
